Across the Field: Try-out for Cross Country Now!

Running through a field the wind in your face, trying to beat the person next to you to get to the finish line. This is Cross Country. Cross Country at Richland Northeast is coached by Mrs. Nina Brook, journalism teacher, and Mr. Bradley Ross, microeconomics teacher.

“The perfect runner would have to be someone who will to participate and is willing to eat right.”

Cross Country is a sport that evolves a lot of moving and heart pumping adrenaline. Most people would say the perfect runner would be someone who just runs fast, others have a different opinion. “The perfect runner would have to be someone who will to participate and is willing to eat right.” said Brook. Good runners should able to know if that second piece of cake is worth you not being able to give your 100% according to some track members.

Richland Northeast High has had tryouts already but if you want to participate come on out. “People who are interested can talk to me. Contact me at my school email or come to B208,” said Brook. The season has already started August 30th and it ends on the first week of November.
