The beginning of November marked the start of the annual basketball intramurals at Richland Northeast. Anticipating the outcome of the games, students filled the gym to cheer on their friends.

Intramurals, which have been a tradition at RNE for at least 8 years, bringing together students who have a passion for basketball, along with fans. Student government plans the games for the students who participate to have fun and for students in the stands to enjoy and cheer on their friends.

“It was a good way to get everybody involved athletically and socially, and a good way to come together,” senior Cortazia Windley said.

Intramurals consists of a series of games played until two teams were left to battle it out in the championship.

The final game was between the Ziploc Boyz and Girlz and the Goats. The Goats went undefeated through the tournament, winning 30-19. Congratulations to the Goats for being our intramural basketball champs.
