Hispanic Heritage Month: September 15-October 15. Each week the media center will share fun facts about the Latin-American culture and history

This Week’s fact: The song “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee first premiered in January of 2017. The song was originally performed and written in Puerto Rico, where the artists are from. This was one of the few songs that proved to U.S. audiences that Latin-American music and music in Spanish could be popular and profitable.
