Varsity Football falls to South Pointe

Varsity football ended it’s come back season with a 34- 24 loss to the South Pointe High School Stallion’s (Rock Hill).  The Stallions were 9-1 coming into the game, losing it’s only regular season game by one point in overtime.  The Cavaliers came in with a winning 6-5 record, after a 38-6 win against Emerald in the first round of playoffs.  The Cavaliers gave up 10 points in the first quarter, struggling to adjust it’s defense to the offensively impressive Stallions. The Cavaliers later answered with 12 points before ending the first half, struggling to make 2- point conversions continuously set the Cavaliers behind.  The Cavaliers only lead of the game was in the second quarter, 18- 17, following a South Pointe fumble.  The Cavaliers ended their season with a tied 6-6 record.
