Dreher Wrap Up
Richland Northeast sports went 2-2 against the Dreher Blue Devils on March 17th.
Northeast Varsity Baseball blanks Dreher for a 10-0 win in five innings (mercy rule). Pitcher Zach Crumlich threw a no-hitter 3 years and a day after a successful UCL surgery. Freshman Peter Purkall drove in the final run. Baseball will play Westwood tonight and is gearing up to play fierce region competitor A.C. Flora Friday.

Boys soccer put up a tough fight against Dreher but unfortunately fell 5-2. Unsigned seniors Juan Rivera Silva and Evan Davis scored two goals against the Blue Devils. Rivera Silva put the Cavs on the board followed by a Davis PK, both scores took place in the 2nd half. Varsity boys soccer looks to even out their record in a non region game against Westwood tonight.

After a tough loss against region competitor Chapin, the lady Cavs were determined to make a statement in their new 3A region. At the bottom of the 3rd, the lady Cavs ran out to a 7-2 lead. Dreher answered back and tied the game in the top of the 5th inning but lady Cavs ultimately pulled out the win 11-7.

Girls soccer put up a tough fight last night. The girls did not score but key players like Sophomore Kelly Lifchez and junior goalie Kristen Javis helped keep the game in reach against a talented team. The team takes on Westwood on March 18th and will have a third chance for a region win against A.C. Flora on Friday, March 20th.
