Winter DIYs
The season is changing, so here’s a guide on how to get in the holiday spirit. These are 3 DIY hacks that are simple and will get the house winter ready!
Snow Globes
The ingredients :
- 16-oz. jar
- Corn syrup
- Chunky glitter
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- A holiday figurine
- Measuring spoons
Directions:
First fill the jar with water. Then hot glue the figurine to the lid of the jar and let it dry. Next put one to two tablespoons of glitter into the jar. After that put two tablespoons of corn syrup. Mix until the desired look is achieved, and put the lid of the jar on.
Pumpkin Snowman
The ingredients:
- Three pumpkins (one big, one medium, and one small)
- Optional: Acrylic paints (i.e. black, red, orange)
- White spray paint
- Paint brushes
Directions:
Starting with the pumpkins, using the white spray paint, step outside and spray each pumpkin until they are evenly coated. Once they are dry, hot glue the pumpkins on top of each other from largest to smallest. And to add some flare, use the paint to add buttons, nose, and eyes, as well as any other additional accessories.
Play Snow
The ingredients:
- A bowl
- Hair conditioner
- Backing soda
- Measuring cup
Directions:
First, add 2-cups of baking soda to the bowl. Then pour in a 1/2-cup of hair conditioner. Taking a spoon, mix the baking soda and conditioner together until it begins to clump and take on the texture of real snow.
