Athletes who want to continue their sport into college look forward to College Signing Day. While it is an emotional time for everyone, it’s also an overall a joyful experience.

Sharita Godfrey and Cortazia Windley are two Richland Northeast Basketball players that signed to colleges in November. Godfrey signed on November 10th to Charleston Southern University and Windley signed on November 17th to Claflin University.

While their teammates were filled with joy over their achievements, they were sad to see them go.

“I’m going to miss [Godfrey]. I remember first meeting her,” Wright reflected. “It’s been a few good years with her.”
