School Safety

Since January 1st, 17 school shootings have occurred in the U.S. alone. With so much concern, schools are now taking higher measures with students and facility by having more practice lockdowns. While in practice lockdowns students should always take them seriously and perform them as they would during a true lockdown. There are many times during lockdown drills where students are still moving around, they are not out of sight, and you can still hear the noise. Some school safety tips for students and educators consist of implementing ID’s, maintain locks on doors and covering windows, and most importantly if you hear or see anything suspicious tell a trusted adult.
