Sights and Sounds: Spring Fling 2022 Recap
On April 8, 2022, Richland Northeast Student Government held a Spring Fling celebration for the students of RNE, preluding a much-needed spring break. There were two sessions to this activity, each during designated cohort lunchtimes. At spring fling, there was an array of food trucks to purchase lunch and sweet treats from. These food trucks included Triple Scoop, Tru Italian Ice, The Donut Guy, Jeb’s Hotdog Stand, Wild Childz Wings and Things, and Brain Freeze. With an abundance of food options, planned activities were also a part of the fun. The student government organized games, crafts, a video game truck, tik tok stations, and the most popular booth: a 360 photobooth. At the beginning of spring fling, students even saw Principal Sims having fun in the photobooth with Dr. Alridge. In retrospect, students complained that lines were long for the food trucks, leaving some students without the opportunity to get food before the hour was done and limiting the amount of time at the other stations. However, as a whole, the student body had fun at this new event planned by RNE Student government and had an amazing kickstart to 2022 Spring Break.
