Ridge View bested RNE 42-21 at home on Friday. The Blazers broke through a tied score, 14-14, after halftime and ended up on top. RNE started off strong with 55-yard TD by quarterback Will Wilson, followed by a 31-yard TD by receiver Dillon Hughey, allowing the Cavs to lead 14-7 in the second quarter.
This loss was disappointing for the Cavs (5-4) after their winning streak, and if they won this game, they could have clinched a home playoff game for the first round.
“We need a playoff home game and I really want that for RNE, it would make a lot of history here” O-Lineman Mark’quelle Moser said. “Nah we better than that, we way better than that and you know that comes with character and ours was really down today. So we going to pick it up and work hard during practice.”
