On Friday, Richland Northeast High School hosted its second pep rally of the season a few hours before its homecoming game against Nation Ford High School.

The pep rally started off with the introduction of the Homecoming King and Queen contestants.

Next up was the cheer battle between the varsity football players and the cheerleaders.

Then came the Football Uniform Challenge, where an upperclassman and an underclassman contestant raced to see who could put on RNE football uniforms the fastest. The underclassmen team came out victorious.

RNE’s Silver Cadet band put on a show to hype up the student body before clearing the floor for a rap battle between the upperclassmen and the underclassmen, or the orange team and the blue team, respectively.

The blue team and the orange team began “Wildin’ Out” in “the Classroom” during their rap battle in the middle of the gym floor, with the orange team emerging victorious.

The homecoming game against the Nation Ford Falcons was hosted at 7:30 p.m. that evening at Richland Northeast. RNE also announced the winners of its homecoming court.
